Blind Tasting Skills with Jennifer Huether

The next CAPS Tasting Event will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 3pm to 5pm, location to be confirmed.

This session dealing with strategies and the development of skills needed for successful blind tastings is restricted to 24 attendees.

CAPS Tasting Events are free for CAPS members; non-members will be asked to pay $10 to attend.

CAPS congratulates its most recent group of graduates. The graduation ceremony was held last night, Monday, November 29 at the Air Canada Centre.

Announcing the 4th CAPS BEST ONTARIO SOMMELIER COMPETITION March 25/26, 2012

The Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers (CAPS) Best Ontario Sommelier Competition is held every two years, with the winner eligible to compete for the Best Canadian Sommelier title in late fall 2012, then International Competitions.

On behalf of CAPS and its membership, we would like to congratulate Canada's first female Master Sommelier, Ms. Jennifer Huether.  Jennifer is the Head Sommelier at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd., and serves on the Board of Directors of CAPS.  She was awarded the prestigious designation on February 11, 2011. Click here to see the official news release.
